Common question
Do I need a password to sign in?
No. You sign in with an 8-digit code we email you, and you stay signed in on that browser.

No. Practice Works signs you in with a code, not a password.
- Go to app.practice.works/login and enter the email address on your account.
- Choose Email me a code.
- Enter the 8-digit code from the email. Each code expires after 10 minutes, so use the latest one.
Passwords are no longer used. If you set one in the past, you do not need it, and there is nothing to reset. Old reset links now take you to code sign-in.
Staying signed in
Once you sign in, that browser stays signed in, so you should not need a new code each time you open Practice Works.
Each browser keeps its own sign-in. If you are asked for a code every time, it is usually one of these:
- A private or incognito window. These forget your sign-in when you close them. Use a normal window.
- A browser set to clear cookies when it closes. Allow cookies for app.practice.works, or turn that setting off.
- A different browser or app each time. Links you tap inside apps such as LinkedIn or Gmail open in that app’s own browser, which signs in separately. Open app.practice.works in your usual browser, or add it to your home screen and sign in there once.
If the email does not arrive
Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you used the same address you signed up with. You can ask for a new code after 15 seconds.
If you enter an address we do not recognise, we send you to the sign-up screen. That usually means a typo, or that you signed up with a different address.
